The ancient Chinese game of Pai Gow combined with American poker is played with a traditional deck of 52 cards and one joker (aces, straights and flush only). Each player is dealt seven cards, which he arranges to make two hands: a two-card hand and a five-card hand, the five-card hand must be better than the two-card hand. To win, both of a player’s hands must beat both of the dealer’s hands. Dealer wins if one or both hands tie. If one hand wins and the other loses, it is a ‘push’. The dealer will turn each player’s hands one at a time and pay or collect before turning the next player’s hands. It is okay to ask the Dealer for advice on how to play your hand.
